The Studio Shop turns 100

One of the best galleries in the world is hitting the 100 year milestone. Celebrating in grand style they have an exhibition opening on February 20 featuring the art of contemporary California Impressionist Ken Christensen and John Karl Claes.
Impressionism is one of my favorite schools of art. I love the idea of roller skating through a museum and just taking the "impression" of the art.
A concept seen here in the movie LA Story.

Taking too much time to contemplate and study I feel takes away from the original concept of Impressionism. Getting the flash of image and taking away the "feeling" it invokes is what it was all about. An impression of time and place, light and temperature.

The Studio Shop has been offering design and art consultations as well as  fine art framing, high quality professional installations, for a century now, congratulations I look forward to 100 more years.
